Home of Genshin Ryu Japanese Ju-Jitsu

The club was set up in early 2006 with the aim of providing a high standard of martial arts to its members and give them a real practical system of self-protection invented by Grand Master Den Butler.

All dojos are registered with Genshin Kai International, Cobra Martial Arts Association and the International Alliance Of Martial Arts Schools and all instructors are fully qualified and insured. Genshin Ju-Jitsu is a system of self-protection using holds, locks, takedowns, kicks and strikes with the addittion of Kyusho Jitsu. At Genshin Kai South East we don't claim to teach street fighting - THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE.

The emotions and chemical releases that the body experiences when you are faced with real violence can never be simulated in the Dojo. For example you can't say, "Stop" or "Can we do that again but a bit slower?" on the street. What we do offer is training in a safe and controlled environment that simulates real life and in turn gives you a fighting chance of controlling your emotions and actions if God forbid you ever have to use your skills.
